University of Washington                          Intercollegiate Athletics Basketball Training Facility

The new 36,000-square-foot Basketball Training Facility will serve as the dedicated home for the University of Washington’s men’s and women’s basketball programs. Designed to promote equity and excellence, the facility features two 9,800-square-foot practice courts with 24/7 access to support year-round training and development.

Beyond the courts, the building’s design creates a balanced and inclusive environment. A shared entry, lobby, and circulation path provide equal visibility and access for both programs, while integrated viewing areas and gathering spaces foster community and connection. The facility also includes a premier conference room designed to host recruits and their families, reinforcing UW’s commitment to student-athlete success.

The new structure links directly to the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion and the Graves Annex Strength and Conditioning Center, enhancing convenience and functionality for all student-athletes. Extensive site improvements enhance accessibility and enrich the game-day experience for athletes, fans, and visitors alike.
